FaceGlitch is a project on surveillance and glitch. Using Processing + opencv_processing by Greg Borenstein + Corrupt.processing, FaceGlitch allow for real time face tracking + glitching via webcam, granting anonymity to the glitched subject. FaceGlitch exposes the scale of surveillance we are exposed to and tries to patch this privacy invasion in a funny way.

President Macron's Gouvernement law proposal so called "Global Security" PROPOSITION DE LOI relative à la sécurité globale, requires to blur police officer faces when publishing their image online, at the same time it increases mass surveillance of the French citizens with the use of drones and face recognition technology during demonstrations. With this in mind, I've decided to use the same face tracking technology to glitch police officer faces in protest for this misuse of anonymity toward officials in charge of enacting state authority sometimes in violent settings.
The images used are my own, shot during demonstrations in 2019 in Paris.
